Not really sure where I want to put this as the idea I was trying to capture with the photo wasn't really the ocean or the sunset, it was more the whole piece, someone fishing off of what is clearly a city pier. I dunno, it was a really good moment.

The boy I've been dating has a preoccupation with fishing, and as a lot of you know I have a preoccupation with sharks, so we decided to combine the two and go shark fishing. When we got to the pier there were already a couple people there, smoking cigarettes and playing KXGO's rasta night on a small boombox with lousey bass. The wind was fucking freezing, too. It was a really good hour and a half or so, until we collectively realized that the only thing anyone was going to catch that night was kelp (except for possibly the people who were crab fishing) so we went back to his place.
